An apt telephoto prime for portraiture and other selective compositions, the FUJIFILM X-mount 85mm f/1.4 WS Mk2 Lens from Samyang is characterized by its fast f/1.4 maximum aperture to suit working in low-light conditions and for controlling depth of field. The optical design incorporates one hybrid aspherical element that helps to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations for a high degree of sharpness and accurate rendering. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting in order to achieve greater contrast and color fidelity. De-click Function for Video Filming
When shooting video, it is pivotal to capture the object maintaining the same brightness even when you're changing the aperture. Here is the new feature for filming with MF 85mm. Switch the silver ring from "Click" to "Free", then your aperture is now not stopped at every aperture as cine lenses do. This "Declick" will help you adjust the brightness continuously and smoothly with much more details between the F stops.
Smooth Bokeh for Portraits
In terms of the “bokeh” performance, its 9-rounded aperture blades which will help you achieve excellent “bokeh” results. The space between the subject and background wil be effectively seperated and make the subject more eye-catching. Its 9 aperture blades provide clearly defined sunstars when the aperture is stopped-down.
Expressive Image Quality of Beloved Lens
The new MF 85mm F1.4 MK2 features a total of 9 elements in 7 groups. Samyang use 1 Hybrid Aspherical glass to minimize spherical and distortion aberration for sharp image quality. It will capture the detailed emotion of subjects in most beautiful way.
Weather sealing and Updated Design
Environmental seals are located at the lens mount area to prevent infiltration of moisture and/or rain drops. Also, MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 has the new micro patterned rubber focus ring to lower the contaminations and increase the grip.
